Effective governance is the cornerstone of long-term success.
At the Governance Forum, we believe that effective governance is the cornerstone of long-term success. Our mission is to empower organisations across the private, public, and voluntary sectors with the tools, knowledge, and expertise needed to excel in governance.
We help our clients move beyond mere compliance to build governance frameworks that are innovative, sustainable, and aligned with their strategic goals.
About Us
The Governance Forum (TGF) was established in 2006 by our founder, Karl George MBE , who now serves as the CEO. Since its inception, TGF has built strategic relationships and leveraged the expertise of both businesses and individuals to champion responsible governance across various sectors.
TGF has collaborated with leading firms like PwC in the Middle East and RSM in the UK. We’ve worked with regulatory bodies, including the National Housing Federation, and large organisations like the Professional Footballers’ Association, for whom we’ve delivered governance training for over a decade.
Governance Review Objectives
At TGF we specialise in comprehensive governance reviews designed to enhance the effectiveness of your organisation’s leadership and compliance structures. We understand that governance is more than compliance; it’s about strategic alignment, sustainable management, and equipping your organisation for long-term success.

What our clients say
Completion of the programme was influential in securing my role as the Director of Football at Queens Park Rangers Football Club and has helped me to contribute effectively in the boardroom.
Les Ferdinand MBE
Board members often find themselves ambushed by two scary forces. On one side stand the onerous legal and regulatory responsibilities placed on a company director. On the other is the need to understand the complex business of the company. Not being destroyed by either or both of these, is a major challenge.
Fortunately, like the Cavalry, Karl and ”The Effective Board Member” have charged to the directors’ defence.”
Sir Ken Olisa OBE
I have never, in all the training he has conducted for PwC clients across the Middle East over the last three years, heard him be asked a question for which he has not had an insightful and well- thought-out answer based on his encyclopedic knowledge of the rules and principles of corporate governance as well as years of practising what he preaches. I commend Karl and his wisdom to you…
Amanda Line
The amount of depth and information that I got about running a listed company has been outstanding. This will definitely allow me to the run the organisation as an effective board member and be better than we’re doing. It’s a system of compliance and governance that allow Aramex to become a better organisation.
